I am a former school teacher in the UK and Victoria (Australia), and development aid worker, first with World Vision Australia and what is now Oxfam Australia.
Besides my teaching qualifications, I have a Master in Education (Sheffield University, UK) and a doctorate (Ph.D.) with a theological emphasis from Monash University in Melbourne (Australia). I also have a Graduate Diploma in Spiritual Direction (Grad. Dip. S.D.) from the University of Divinity (Melbourne) and a Diploma in Spiritual Direction (Dip. S.D.) from the Wellspring Ecumenical Centre (Melbourne). My training enriched the Spiritual Companioning I had undertaken informally since the late 1980s.
I enjoy membership of the Australian Network of Spiritual Directors (and hence the Australian Ecumenical Council for Spiritual Direction) as well as Spiritual Directors International. I subscribe to the ethical standards and practices of these organisations.
